Fixture Opportunity against local Team 

The Uganda Rugby Tour and Wildlife Safari will get the chance to play a local team when you travel in a group to one of our exclusive rugby tours to Uganda. These teams could be against select teams or against any club in Uganda. Even a matchup against a chosen national team is possible.

A rugby tour in Uganda is an opportunity to discover new things, enjoy the game you love while leaving an Impact in the community and meet the some of the most friendly people around the world

We will connect you with the top community projects promoting the growth of rugby through our extensive network and experience in Uganda and East Africa. Within educational institutions, age-appropriate clubs and community-based Age grade rugby centers

Buildup to the Tour 

As we prepare for the tour, we have already connected you to a number of incredible initiatives run by the PW15 foundation and club initiatives, including those in the areas of welding, art, and tailoring, as well as other initiatives directly managed by rugby clubs and the community. To support these projects you may be required to fundraise and collect some equipment that you will leave in Uganda. things like kits collection, Balls, Boots and much more

Itinerary

Day 1Airport Pickup and Hotel Transfer

Uganda Rugby Tour and Wildlife Safari first day has arrived. We advise your team to arrive at Entebbe International Airport early in the morning, depending on your arrival time. Transfer to Jinja/Kampala and check in at your lodge to recuperate from your flight and be ready for community rugby coaching with the Kakira, Jinja, or Kampala rugby teams in the evening.

Afternoon welcome party and briefing for the Uganda Rugby Tour and Wildlife Safari

Optional Chimpanzee tracking at Ngamba Island for the day and a Snake Park excursion/beach/Golf

Day 2PW Foundation, Community coaching/project visit

This day  dedicated fully towards Community rugby in Jinja/Kampala some of the community rugby initiatives we work with is Kakira Simba Rugby Club a Community based Organization and community rugby team giving purpose to youths in Jinja 

   

Kampala is Acholi Quarters Rugby Academy  founded by Phillip Wokorach a Ugandan international rugby player based in France. Since both of these programs are the results of age-grade rugby in Uganda, they established community clubs and a foundation to support young, talented, and underprivileged athletes in Uganda in realizing and achieving their goals through rugby as a tool for development.

Lunch with PW Foundation/Kakira Simba Rugby Club

Day 3Spire School for the Blind and Game day in Jinja

Wakeup to a chilled Morning with breath taking moments with the Nile at your sight while at Nile River Explorers.  The day will start with a visit at Spire school for the blind Or a team split tour of the carpentry, welding, and art gallery workshops at Kakira Player Projects. For kids with visual impairments, Jinja’s Spire School for the Blind is a primary school. You will adore them when you play games, dance, and sing with them. You will be able to get your hands dirty by participating in some of the club projects while you are at Kakira Rugby Players Projects.

Return to NRE for relaxation after lunch.

Early evening visit to Jinja rugby clubs Kakira Simba Rugby Club and Walukuba Rugby Club to share a few skills with their age grade or senior teams. There will also be arrangements to have some games with these clubs

Dinner at Mahatma Indian Restaurant.

Day 4Jinja Adventure Hunt

This day will be devoted to learning about some of the most thrilling activities that have earned Jinja the title of East Africa’s adventure capital.

Samuka island, rafting, ziplining, paddle skating, bungee jumping, horseback riding, and quad biking are among the activities available for booking

Optional: visit to Spire School for Blind Families to learn more about them and gain insights into how the children navigate their homes away from School

Day 5Fixture/Match In Jinja/Kampala

It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.

Day 6Transfer Jinja to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, Jinja to Murchison falls arriving Afternoon time. Before checking in at your Hotel/Lodge. The driver will lead you to the Thunderous Falls as welcome into Uganda’s largest National park. The Lodge is within the park boundaries. So expect to see some elephants crossing as we arrive at the Lodge, Baboons and lots of bird species.

Continue viewing the park and the falls at a panoramic and breathe taking views across the extent of the park all the way to Lake Albert. Head to the thunderous water falls penetrating through a narrow gorge. Besides the beautiful view of water falls, you will take the best of photos as a group and as an individual while enjoying the sounds from the falls

Day 7Murchison Falls Game Drive, Boat Cruise

This is our big day in the wilderness. After an early morning breakfast our driver/guide will have a briefing with the group and thereafter take the group for a 2-3 hours game drive. Expect to view lots of Giraffes, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, Zebra, Jackals and Antelopes and as you continue with the drive, the range guide will lead us to search for a lion.

Lunch and relaxation at Red Chili.

Sail along the Victoria Nile for two hours starting at 2:00 pm. More aquatic animals, including crocodiles, buffalo, numerous hippos, up-close views of elephants, and an abundance of birds at the base of the falls, will be visible to you during the boat ride.

Day 8Chimpanzee Tracking

After an early breakfast at 8:00am, your Driver Guide  will lead you on an optional game drive or opt to lead you on a 1-hour drive to Budongo Chimpanzee Forest, meeting a specialist chimpanzee tracking guide for a pre-tracking briefing on the chimpanzee family you will track. so social like Humans yet almost four times as strong as man

on the trek, the guide even makes the hike more interesting with  unbelievable tales of his time with the chimps as well as pointing out other primates, little creatures of the forest on the ground and in the trees, birds, butterflies, interesting flowers and plants. Depending on where the chimps were last spotted or heard, the minimum time to track them can be as few as 30 minutes to as long as 4 hours. The maximum time for socializing with the chimps is 1 hour.

Meanwhile, after tracking, you will have a final relaxation in the forest as you prepare to check out and say good bye to Budongo Forest and Murchison falls National Park.

Your driver will lead you on a 3-hour drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Day 9 Rhino Trek and Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will head for your favorite rhino safari. After tracking, you will check out of the lodge and head for a 4-hour transfer by road with a lunch stopover at Kabalega Dinner en route to Kampala or Entebbe to check in at your hotel.

Arriving in the early Evening, You will check-in at your hotel as the last sendoff dinner is arranged and drinks with an optional Entebbe or Kampala Night Life

Day 10Airport Transfer

Depending on your flight schedule, We will have breakfast. You can choose to visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens by the beach for some relaxation and souvenir shopping, or you can take a quick stroll through Entebbe town.

Transfer by road to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home.
