8 Days Uganda Rugby Tour and Nile River Rafting
Welcome to an exhilarating and diverse sports 8 Days Uganda Rugby Tour and Nile River Rafting adventure in Uganda! This 8-day tour combines the thrill of rugby with the adrenaline-pumping experience of Nile River rafting. From competitive rugby matches to navigating the rapids of the Nile, this itinerary promises an action-packed journey that also allows time to explore the cultural and natural wonders of Uganda.
Day 1: Arrival and Pickup from Entebbe Airport
Njia African Adventure staff in our Uniforms holding your team name will Pick you up from Airport in Entebbe and drive directly to the Hotel
Late afternoon training session followed by first team dinner and a big welcome to Africa organized, it will be graced with best of African traditions, introductions and Briefing on how the week will be moving

Day 2: Fixture 1 Uganda
Breakfast in the morning and depending on team plan you can hit a modern gym this morning for strength & conditioning training and back to the hotel for relaxation and team preps.
Refuel with a healthy lunch before making your way to Fixture 1 at Kyadondo Rugby Club, a rugby union ground in Kampala, Uganda built in 2000. Facilities include main ground, Gym, a training/match pitch and club house. The ground is home to several club teams, among them Heathens RFC, a leading rugby club in Uganda. It has also hosted home games of the Uganda national rugby union team. The fixture to be played will be decided based on level of competition required for the visiting team and will be planned together with the Uganda Rugby Union.
After the Fixture in the early evening head back to the Hotel for refreshment While setting up for a team Dinner and drinks with some of the players and officials from the other team. Good time for team bonding as you enjoy as a group after the fixture.

Day 3: Community coaching Kampala
Chilled breakfast as you set your mind to a very important day for the tour. Where you will leave an impact in the community. After your breakfast head for a drive through the city Centre. And depending on numbers we will split into different groups that will visit the schools. And age grade programs around Kampala. Among the programs to visit include a visit to Naguru Sports community and Acholi Quarters rugby club under the Phillip Wokorach Foundation a sport for development organization. That uses rugby to promote the holistic development of underprivileged children and youth. Some of these programs are also pushed to schools.
The team will have an opportunity to have exchange programs with the foundation through offering coach education. Skill training with the children for the foundation and coaching in schools around Kampala. The rugby foundation by Phillip Wokorach, a Ugandan international rugby player based in France. Who bares the fruits of age grade rugby in Uganda, as a means to give back to his community he started up a foundation aimed to empower young disadvantaged and talented athletes in Uganda. To help them realize & achieve their dreams through rugby as a tool for development
All groups will meet for Lunch and back to the hotel for relaxation and an evening BBQ pool party

Day 4: Rugby training and Jinja
Breakfast will be ready for the team and the Morning will be yours for team training activities and if the team opt to choose Gym for strength and Conditioning will be accessible if need or Pitch work and training.
After Lunch, we get on road for a 3 hr drive to Jinja the adventure Capital of East Africa. Jinja Stands on the lush banks of The River Nile, Jinja is Uganda’s second biggest city. The town itself has a vivacious, multi-cultural feel to it. Jinja is source for the long 6,500km journey north. Many go on to take up the challenge of the river’s mighty grade five rapids, which are now one of Uganda’s main tourist attractions. Jinja became an economic boomtown at the start of the twentieth century due to its strategic location close to the river and Uganda’s capital city Kampala, which is only 80km away.

Flat water canoeing, River boarding (Fishing, Swimming and bird watching), Kayaking, Water Rafting, Bungee Jumping, Quad biking, Water sport, Rock climbing, Horse riding on the Nile, Paragliding, Cultural sites, Source of the Nile and Historic sites.
Upon getting to Jinja you will have time to relax with great views of the Nile River. Depending on the arrival time, we will have time to enjoy some of the adventure activities at Nile River Explorers like the Nile Slides and the paddleboats on the Nile. Dinner will be at the Indian Restaurant in Jinja.

Day 5: Jinja Adventure
Wakeup to the great views of the Nile. And head out for a full day of Adventure on the Nile River. From the many previous adventurers they consider this day as one of the best white water trips in the world. No safari to Uganda would be complete without truly experiencing the Nile from its source. The 4 – 5 hours on the river Grade 5 activity that doesn’t require Rafting or Swimming experience. As long as your water confident, get your shorts and T-shirts and Santan lotion or cream and towel to grace this wonderful day of an adventure like no other.
You will head back to the camp overnight and a big night to talk with other experts in Jinja and other rafters.

Day 6: Community coaching/Training and Spire School for the Blind
Wakeup to a chilled Morning with breath taking moments with the Nile at your sight while at Nile River Explorers. The day will start with a visit at Spire school for the blind, which is a Primary school for visually impaired children. You will dance, sing and Play games with them.
After lunch head, back NRE for relaxation
Early evening visit to Jinja rugby clubs Hippos and Walukuba Rugby Club to share a afew skills before having your main training for the evening
Day 7: Fixture 2 Uganda.
Breakfast in the morning and depending on team plan you can hit a modern gym this morning for strength & conditioning training. And back to the hotel for relaxation and team preps.
Refuel with a healthy lunch before making your way to Fixture 2 at Kaserani stadium. A multi-purpose stadium in Kasarani, Kenya. It was built in 1987 for the All-Africa Games held in Nairobi. The facilities include a 60,000-seat stadium with a running track and a pitch used for football and rugby union, a competition size swimming pool and an indoor arena. The fixture will be decided based on level of competition required for the visiting team. And will be planned together with the Kenya Rugby Union
After the Fixture in the early evening head back to the Hotel for refreshment as you prepare for a team dinner and drinks with some of the players and officials from the other team. Good time for team bonding as you enjoy as a group after the fixture. At the dinner you may choose to have team presentations and conclusions for the tour.

Day 8: Transfer to the Airport.
Depending on the fight time will have time to relax and reflect on how the tour has been as you prepare to say goodbye to Uganda. The bus will be ready to drive to the Airport to catch your flight or onward adventures.
