With Forty Thieves Beach Bar as the esteemed host, the tournament promises three days of fast-paced, floodlit matches spread over four pitches along the sun-kissed shore, culminating in a spectacular opening extravaganza to launch this action-packed weekend.

Beyond the adrenaline-fueled contests, the lively and convivial ambiance of the tournament is destined to endure long after the floodlights dim, as Forty Thieves curates an enthralling lineup of live bands and DJs, ensuring the festivities extend well into the night. Here’s your 7 Days Diani Beach Rugby Festival Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Nairobi National Park

Depending on Arrival time you will be picked up from JKA to your Hotel. Or get on road for a 1 hr drive to Ololo Safari Lodge  in Nairobi National Park.   The lodge is a mere 45-minute drive through the park from Nairobi yet the lodge’s secluded location feels like a world away. Set on a productive 20 acre working farm, Ololo offers the joys of delicious ‘paddock to plate’ fresh ingredients. With our established and secluded gardens, guests are able to settle in and soak up a unique safari experience.

Wildlife is right on our doorstep and all can enjoy breathtaking views over the national park. To the famed Ngong Hills in the west, sundowner in hand. Or you may like to wile the hours away at the lodge by the pool, adventure on a safari into the park, take a tour of the Ololo Farm or perhaps an excursion with us into historic Karen. We will have an evening game drive and a visit to the renowned Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage.

In the evening the team will sit by the fire-pit in the garden or cosy up to the safari Lodge blazing fireplace for the evening

Day 2: Depart Nairobi National park for Mombasa

Wakeup to the sounds of wildlife and bird life at the lodge then head for a morning game drives into the only national park in the world on the edge of a capital city. Nairobi National Park is a surprise package and many of these birds and animals and

By 12 Pm head out of the park for a short drive to the railway station that will take the team to Mombasa Diani Beaches arriving early evening a perfect time for dinner and Overnight.  Diani Beach has been voted Africa’s best beach destination for the fifth time running since 2015. The beach is about 17 kilometres long, from the Kongo River to the north and Galu beach to the south.

Day 3: Diani beach Fixtures day 1

Chilled morning as the team prepares for the day ahead for the games. You will have time to do some training at the Beach in the morning. Gearing up to the floodlight fixtures In the evening. The Tournament opens at 8pm so will have enough for the day to rest and prepare for the games for 7 Days Diani Beach Rugby Festival.

Day 4: Diani Beach Fixtures day 2

Chilled morning as the team prepares for the day ahead for the games will have optional beach Activities. As there is plenty to do in and around Diani, water or not related. You can take a day trip to Wasini Island to look for dolphins and sea turtles or a small fishermen’s dhow to the Diani’s sandbank. Go a bit deeper into the ocean and dive with one of the PADI certified diving companies. Or a bit higher in the air with your kite surf and windsurf. On land, guided walks through sacred forests, a monkey sanctuary, a turtle information center and a trip to Shimba Hills. The only coastal national park that is home to the endangered Sable Antelope, are some of the many options waiting to be explored.

Day 5: Diani Beach rugby closing day Fixtures Day 3

Big day for the week long adventure as the curtains close down with lots of music festivals performances. The night will be long and the memories will last forever.

Will have BBQ Planned in our Tent as we enjoy the music and performances from Kenya’s Finest Musicians.

Day 6: Depart Diani Beach for Nairobi

After the long night we will have a chilled morning and breakfast served at the Hotel. Depart Mombasa for Nairobi at 10Am to the Railway station for Nairobi arriving at early evening to check-in at the hotel.

Day 7: Airport Transfer

Depending on the fight time will have time to relax and reflect on how the tour has been as you prepare to say goodbye to Kenya. The bus will be ready to drive to the Airport to catch your flight.
