Family Beach and Africa Safari will provide a family experience of culture in Stone Town, wildlife on safari, and swimwear on Zanzibar’s southeast coast. You will experience the best of the open road on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure into the Tanzanian wilderness and beach in Zanzibar. The journey in a four-wheel-drive safari vehicle with a pop-up roof to Serengeti National Park for a game drive and Zanzibar for beach relaxation.

Day 1: Family Beach and Africa Safari Zanzibar Island, Stone Town

Upon the arrival of your flight into Zanzibar Airport, your Njia taxi driver will be awaiting you in the parking area of the airport and will take you to Shaba Boutique hotel where you will spend your first night recovering from your trip. Shaba Boutique Hotel is located in a beautiful and characteristic building in the heart of the old center of Stone town with lots of restaurants in the area for lunch and dinner.

Day 2: Depart Zanzibar for  Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your taxi will be waiting to take you to Zanzibar Airport, from which you will fly to Arusha. The flight is brief, lasting just over an hour. Arusha is the safari capital of the country and a bustling ‘tourism-driven’ city. You will be met at Arusha Airport by your driver guide, and together you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park to begin your private safari game drive.

The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses the park and is the main source of fresh water for wildlife. This quiet park is famous for its elephant migration, birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere. After a packed lunch, you will depart for Africa Safari Lake Manyara at the end of the afternoon game drive.

On arrival, you will have time to refresh before finishing the day with dinner under the stars and a good night’s sleep in one of our comfy canvas accommodations.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Craters Safari

 Be sure to wake up early today, so there is no delay on your descent into the famous  Family Beach and Africa Safari Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the beauty around you will amaze you. Even more so when you arrive at the edge of the crater and take in the amazing view over one of the Natural Wonders of this World. The crater of this inactive volcano is approximately 3 million years old, 20 sq km in size, and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world.

Due to its natural borders, the wildlife in the crater is amazing. The crater is home to the Big Five and offers a good chance to spot the rare black rhinos. Throw hyenas, zebras, buffaloes, and elephants into the mix, and you have the perfect canvas for a awesome safari experience.

At the end of the afternoon, you will go to the next lodge, Africa Safari South Serengeti, for a well-deserved night’s sleep.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti National Park Africa Safari

Today, you will have a long and rewarding drive ahead of you, as you make your way through Serengeti National Park. Depending on the movement of the migration, you might even make your way further north while the plains disappear behind you to give way to forests of acacia trees and dense bush.

This northern section of the Serengeti is less frequented than the southern and central parts of the Serengeti, allowing for fewer cars on the road and a more ‘exclusive’ safari experience. At the end of the day, you will leave the park through Klein’s gate and after a few kilometres find another surprise, Maasai culture in its full glory.

You will spend the night at Africa Safari Maasai Boma in a modern-style version of a traditional Maasai earth house with an en-suite bathroom and king-size bed.

Day 5:  Serengeti National Park Africa Safari

 After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti National Park. Many animals, both herbivores and carnivores, live in the area permanently, including buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, elands, cheetahs, hyenas, oribis, topis, impalas, Thomson’s gazelles, giraffes, hippos, and Nile crocodiles.

Along the drive, you will be able to spot giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Prepare to be amazed when you catch your first glimpse of the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Day 6: Zanzibar Island Beach tour

After a good night’s sleep, today is your last game drive in the Serengeti, which will end in the afternoon at the Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar Airport. You’ll enjoy the magnificent views while flying over Serengeti National Park and admire the changing scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Perhaps you will even get a glimpse of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro as the plane stops briefly in Arusha.

You will land at Zanzibar Airport where you will be met by your driver guide and transferred to Reef & Beach Resort, where you will check in to a suite mangrove/pool view on an all-inclusive meal plan.

The coming days can be spent at your leisure, enjoying all the wonderful resort facilities—spa, massage, poolside sunbathing, or a dip in the ocean. For the more adventurous traveler, you may wish to indulge in a diving experience or head off on one of the many-day tours available.

Day 7: Zanzibar Island Tour

After breakfast at your resort, you will take time to enjoy the Reef & Beach Resort or book an optional excursion. Zanzibar is the most popular beach destination in Tanzania. Besides the sea and the beaches, you can visit Stone Town, the spice plantations, and do snorkeling, diving, and canoeing.

Day 8: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport
